This is my absolute favorite time of year! The weather is relatively mild (as I live in Colorado), the leaves are all changing and Halloween is upon us! I remember dressing up in layers under my costume as a child. Bundling out into the nippy air on All-Hallows-Eve to trick-or-treat then come home to a mug of steaming hot apple cider. My Dad rigging up ghosts that would swing down out of the trees to scare the bajeezus out of unsuspecting trick-or-treaters... My mom accidentally gluing my sister's eyelid shut due to a freak false eyelash incident that she still talks about... my brother being forced to dress up as a woman for a Halloween party (he hated it)... making my son a pretty awesome French fry costume a few years ago; yes he actually asked to be a box of French fries for Halloween... this holiday just brings out the creative side in a lot of us. This time of year just invokes such a strong feeling of well being that I find it near impossible to even be irritated or upset for anymore than a few minutes at a time. Does anyone else have a similar reaction to this? What are some of your favorite Halloween/Fall stories? Feel free to respond. The more (kid-friendly) photos the better! Happy Halloween!
